Cover Art for Carmina Burana October 2007

Here’s an interior illustration from the libretto for Carmina Burana I did for my friend Chris Miller. In the upper left the man entering is a depiction of Estuans Interius/ Burning inside. He’s greeted by the abbot (Ego sum abbas). The Saint Pauli girl has Cignus ustus cantat (The Roast Swan) belting out his pitiful aria.

I wish I could think of a clever title for this one. It just sums up the way I feel when I’m late on a deadline

This piece was inspired by images of Great Depression breadlines. House, or English Sparrows are non native immigrant birds as well so I sought to capture a bit of Ellis Island imagery

This depiction of Ganymede the Cupbearer was used for print advertising for Mullane’s Parkside Cafe, Cincinnati, OH early 1990’s

Don Quixote is one of my heroes. I admit, I never finished Cervantes book, but I know all the lyrics to “Man of La Mancha”1

Cats rule, dogs drool. Fun with Hipster Cats in this Hidden Picture.

The title of this Hidden Picture pays homage to Bug’s Bunny’s famous line. These Prairie Dogs are just terminally cute, eh? Find the hidden stuff.

This crustacean rock band is a Hidden Picture created for Highlights for Children. At least 10 items hidden here, have fun finding them. The Lobster lead guitar was inspired by Chuck Berry’s signature cakewalk, and that’s a Striped Bass bass player

Here’s the sketch I did for Highlights for Children. It took several revisions to get to final art on this piece, but I still like this version best!
